NBCT provides an integrated and holistic approach to the assessment and treatment of children of all ages, with a range of communication difficulties.
As young children these difficulties may present as a delay in the development of your child's spoken language skills or of their articulation of speech sounds. But, as children grow and start their academic journey at school, their difficulties evolve and often show through less obvious signs. These may include being slow to learn sight words, having difficulty learning to spell, being unable to read well or understand what has been read.
The skills needed for successful reading, spelling, writing and understanding written texts at school are firmly based on a child's early speech and language skills. This is why early support is so important, it will lay the foundations for your child's future learning.
Treatments offered by our Speech Pathology Team are based on current theory and best practice and are carried out by Certified Practicing Members of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia.
